Size Guide
There are two sizes used for Dragon Shield sleeves:

Matte Sleeves vs Dual Matte Sleeves
While Matte sleeves are the most popular type of Dragon Shield sleeve, Dual Matte sleeves are quickly gaining popularity. The main difference between them is the inner back of the card. Matte sleeves have the same colour on the inside AND the outside of the sleeve. Dual Matte sleeves have the chosen colour on the outside of the sleeve, but the inside is ALWAYS black. This provides the benefit of a fully opaque sleeve, so the card's backing cannot be identified. This is particularly important in tournament play, as it is required to participate. If competitive tournament play is important to you, Dual Matte sleeves will always be the better choice.
Inner Sleeves vs Outer Sleeves
Inner Sleeves (also known as Perfect Fit sleeves) are typically used in addition to a regular set of Dragon Shield sleeves, providing an extra layer of protection. This is often referred to as ‘double sleeving’. Outer Sleeves serve a similar purpose, again providing another extra layer of protection, sometimes referred to as ‘triple sleeving’. Doing so provides a near waterproof protection layer for the card. Inner and Outer Dragon Shield sleeves are designed to be used with standard Dragon Shield for the best fit. Using different brands on your cards might result in poorly fitting sleeves. Hence we recommend using only Dragon Shield sleeves if choosing to multilayer sleeve your cards.
