Quarter Century Stampede is the Yu-Gi-Oh TCGs first all foil set of 2025. It is one of the last chances you have to get your favourite cards in the quarter century secret rare rarity.
Quarter Century Stampede has an 80 card core of tournament level cards as well as a set of 200 nostalgia reprint cards. It uses the same structure as its predecessor Quarter Century Bonanza, giving you 5 foil cards a pack which includes a guaranteed luxury secret rare per pack.
Overall, this set contains a total of seven different rarities. In each pack you are guaranteed a luxury secret rare from the 200 card nostalgia pool, which means you are guaranteed either a platinum secret rare or a quarter century secret rare.
Two of the remaining four cards are taken from the main 80 card pool of tournament level cards, giving you a super rare card and secret rare card. The secret rare of which has an additional 25% chance to be a platinum or quarter century secret rare.
The last two cards in the pack are ultra rare cards which both have a 1/6 chance to be a prismatic collector or prismatic ultimate rare.
From fan favourite Blue Eyes White Dragon to tournament staple Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, Quarter Century Stampede has something for everyone.
Now that you have an understanding of what the set contains, I am going to walk you through the 10 most expensive cards in the set so you know what to look out for!
1. Diabellstar the Black Witch (New Art) Quarter Century Secret Rare
Since its release nearly two years ago, Diabellstar the Black Witch has lamented itself in the meta being an integral part of the Snake-Eyes archetype. It is a strong boss monster with the ability to summon itself, search for your spell/trap cards and also bring itself back to the field.
Together with the support of the rest of the Snake-Eyes and Sinful-Spoils cards, Diabellstar has become a card you will see regularly if you are playing modern Yu-Gi-Oh.
Along with how powerful the card is, the beautiful artwork has drawn people towards it and now with an all new art for the card; duelists want this card even more. A new pose, background and slight change in colour scheme along with the chance to get this beautiful card in the sought after quarter century secret rare has got duelists hunting for this card specifically.
This is evident in its market price with PSA grade 9 and above going for over $500.
2. Dark Magician Girl (7th Art) Quarter Century Secret Rare
Dark Magician Girl is one of the most popular monsters in all of Yu-Gi-Oh, with a dedicated fan following which spans over 20 years. She is one of Yugi’s ace monsters that support his main boss monster Dark Magician and the Dark Magician archetype.
She has various appearances and merchandise in the Yu-Gi-Oh franchise and duelists and collectors pride themselves on collecting each one of the different Dark Magician Girl alternate art cards. She has many different alternative arts and this particular artwork is the seventh.
Another beautiful artwork with stunning colours and shining finish, this card is already sought after. Being a quarter century secret rare gives it another level of exclusivity that many people will want to acquire.
3. Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring (Alternate Art) Quarter Century Secret Rare
Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring is one of modern day Yu-Gi-Ohs most popular, most powerful and most accessible cards.
It is a meta staple in any deck and is easy to acquire having been reprinted in many rarities across many sets. It has a powerful effect that negates any effect that involves your opponent's deck and can be used in just about any deck, meta or not.
This alternate artwork for Ash Blossom sticks to its original theme and colour scheme but changes the pose so that Ash Blossom is staring directly forward.
Being an alt art and quarter century secret rare as well as meta card, Ash Blossom is one of the cards everyone will be happy to pull.
4. Blue-Eyes White Dragon (New Art) Quarter Century Secret Rare
Blue-Eyes White Dragon is one of, if not, the most well known monster in all of Yu-Gi-Oh. This powerful creature has been loved and feared for 25 years.
It is the boss monster of Seto Kaiba and lots of duelists love playing Blue Eyes White Dragon in their decks or building a deck around it, with its staggering 3000 ATK.
Along with being a powerful card, it also has its own Blue-Eyes archetype, which is very powerful, having won the world championships in 2016 and currently being a top meta deck with the recent release of the Blue-Eyes White Destiny Structure Deck.
Having over 10 different alternate artworks, Blue Eyes White Dragon fans love collecting each of the different art cards and this one is just as cool, if not more so than some of the others.
It takes a different approach in that it gives a bottom up viewpoint of Blue Eyes attacking, such that it looks as if this fearsome creature is firing a powerful attack to us, the viewer.
Fitting with the well loved, classic blue and white colour scheme but with a fiery red background, this art gives the fans what they want.
Together, paired with its quarter century secret rarity and brand new art, this card is one of the most expensive, sought after cards in the set.
5. Effect Veiler (New Art) Quarter Century Secret Rare
Effect Veiler has been around for a long time and has gone through periods where it has seen very high usage in competitive Yu-Gi-Oh.
It is a powerful hand trap that negates an opponents’ monsters effect on the field. It’s an accessible card that can be played in just about any deck and used against just about any deck.
Now Effect Veiler has a new artwork after many years and with the recent resurgence in meta play, people want it.
The card has good synergy with recent meta deck Blue-Eyes and with its stunning, shiny blue allure and brand new quarter century secret rarity, it is one of the chase cards of Quarter Century Stampede, selling for a good amount.
6. Sage with Eyes of Blue (Quarter Century Secret Rare)
Sage with Eyes of Blue belongs to the coveted Blue-Eyes archetype and has a powerful searching and summoning effect.
It is a very strong card that makes an already strong archetype even stronger and fans of Blue Eyes White Dragon play it in their decks.
This card, however, only has one artwork. Although it has been printed in various different rarities, this is its first time being printed as a quarter century secret rare.
With its place in the current meta with the Blue-Eyes archetype, fans of Blue-Eyes White Dragon are looking to acquire it.
7. Called by the Grave (New Art) Quarter Century Secret Rare
Called by the Grave is one of those infamous meta staples currently on the Forbidden and Limited List.
It is a strong Quick-play Spell card that targets, banishes and negates the Graveyard effects of one of your opponents’ monsters. It is a very good anti-meta card that duelists run to completely counter Graveyard reliant strategies.
It has been around for a while, but has only ever had one artwork. Now Konami debuted a new artwork for it in Quarter Century Stampede and this artwork is completely different to its previous art. Whereas before it had a very dark and dull, ominous artwork with a monstrous hand reaching out the ground it has now done a complete 180.
The new art ditches the dark greens, blues and browns for more vibrant and colourful light greens, blues, yellows and pinks. It now emotes a happier, cheerful atmosphere with two girls laughing. This polar opposite artwork paired with the elusive quarter century secret rarity gives it its graded market price of $415.
8. Blue-Eyes White Dragon (8th Art) Quarter Century Secret Rare
What could be more iconic than the Blue-Eyes White Dragon? The Blue Eyes White Dragon coming up twice on a top 10 list.
Blue-Eyes is such a well-known and loved card that people love to keep up to date with and collect every new release of it. Whether it is a new art, new rarity, a reprint or all three, Blue-Eyes sells.
Every person has their own personal favourite artwork of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon and it is a card that will always be in demand.
This is the captivating eighth artwork of Blue-Eyes where it seems to be roaring and capturing the hearts of collectors and duelists alike.
9. Maxx "C" (Quarter Century Secret Rare)
Maxx "C" is one of the most single, powerful cards in all of Yu-Gi-Oh. So much so that it is currently banned on the Forbidden and Limited List and has been for a few years now.
Maxx "C" is one of those cards that became more and more powerful as Yu-Gi-Oh continued to evolve as a TCG over the past 10 years. Its effect lets you draw an additional card for each monster your opponent Special Summons.
This card is the definition of power creep and no matter how many more summoning mechanics are introduced into the game or however fast paced the game gets, this card will always be able to keep up. It is an iconic card that any competitive duelist knows about.
This card is so powerful and well known that it only has one artwork and this hasn’t changed with the release of Quarter Century Stampede. What has changed, however, is that fans wanted this card in quarter century secret rare and they got it, in all its shining glory.
10. Trap Dustshoot (Quarter Century Secret Rare)
Trap DustShoot is an older card released over 20 years ago. It is a trap card that lets you look at your opponent's hand and send one monster back to their deck.
This card isn’t the most popular but, in old school Yu-Gi-Oh, was quite formidable.
In the art we see a man shocked, falling through a trapdoor. The red and brown are really complimented by the shine of the rarity of this card. Some old school Yu-Gi-Oh fans who remember playing this card will be happy to see it get its quarter century secret rare upgrade.
What else should you look out for?
There are 280 different possible cards you could pull from Quarter Century Stampede and with so many different cards to pull, prices and demand could change. This is why I am going to briefly talk you through some more cards to keep your eyes on.
Sky Striker Ace – Raye (New Art) Quarter Century Secret Rare
Sky Striker has been tier 0 before and has been meta numerous times over the past seven years. At the forefront of this is the Main Deck monster of Sky Striker Ace – Raye.
This card is played in playsets of three and the whole sky striker archetype revolves around this card. Sky Striker as a whole has also received a big fan following with lots of rarity prints and merchandise.
The original art shows no movement and has a dark blue colour scheme whereas this new print contrasts the original art of the card as it shows the main character Raye moving and swinging her sword letting off a fiery blast and has a light blue/brown colour scheme with some yellow and red.
Dark Magician (Arkana) Quarter Century Secret Rare
Yugi's ace boss monster, the Dark Magician. This iconic, popular and well loved wizard is at the forefront of Yu-Gi-Oh and has been around for 25 years.
Dark Magician has a strong archetype of cards catered to helping him and his fellow wizards whilst facing down his counterpart, the Blue Eyes White Dragon.
This ultimate wizard has over 10 different alternate arts and I personally am a fan of so many of them. Dark Magician has been printed in many different rarities and arts over the years and has always had people collecting him.
He brings the nostalgia of Yu-Gi-Oh and is a timeless classic that Yu-Gi-Oh collectors endeavour to obtain.
This powerful magician exudes a serious and cool atmosphere. This art is in stark contrast between his other alternate artworks as he emanates a malicious aura shown through a lovely dark red, purple and black colour scheme and yellow magical circle.
This specific art is the famous Arkana magician artwork and is my personal favourite and has now been added to the list of quarter century secret rare cards made to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Yu-Gi-Oh.
Dragon Master Magia (Platinum Secret Rare)
Originally released in Battles of Legend - Terminal Revenge, this card was short printed and only available in the very highest rarity of quarter century secret rare.
This made it extremely hard to pull and now, with the release of Quarter Century Stampede, more people have access to this card as it has been reprinted with a few rarities.
This immensely powerful card will be a welcome addition to any Blue-Eyes Deck propelling it to even further heights.
The artwork depicts Magician of Chaos riding on the back of Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon. Working together they are an unbeatable force with a staggering 5000 ATK being able to negate any card effect and having a backup plan if destroyed.
Any rarity of this card will be a wonderful pull that sells for a good amount of money, however, this is the platinum secret rare version which sells for a market price of £53.95 at the time of writing.
Nibiru, the Primal Being (New Art) (Quarter Century Secret Rare)
Nibiru, the Primal Being is one of modern day Yu-Gi-Oh’s most well known cards. It debuted in the 2019 Mega Tins as one of three world premiere cards designed to change the game of Yu-Gi-Oh. And that it did.
It is an extremely powerful hand trap that can completely counter combo heavy decks. Most duelists play this card if not in their Main Deck, then in their Side Decks to rotate in and out between duels as required.
A Level 11, LIGHT Rock Effect monster with 3000 ATK, Nibiru has a powerful effect that lets you Tribute Summon using your opponent's monsters.
During either player's Main Phase, if your opponent summons 5 or more times you can tribute all monsters on the field to Special Summon Nibiru, the Primal Being to your side of the field.
Although it has a downside of summoning a token to your opponent's side of the field with ATK/DEF equal to the combined amount of all tributed monsters, Nibiru is still a staple for most decks as it lets you get rid of tough boss monsters that might have targeting and destruction protection.
Nibiru, the Primal Being gets a completely new alternative artwork in Quarter Century Stampede and is only available as a quarter century secret rare.
This new art is completely different to the original and fascinates duelists as on first inspection of the art, duelists don’t even recognise the card. The original art showed a meteor crashing down from space whereas the new artwork shows what was supposedly inside the meteor which is a giant white alien-like monster with various tentacle-like limbs sprouting from it.
Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder (New Art) (Quarter Century Secret Rare)
Zeus is an extremely powerful XYZ card and boss monster that many duelists play in their decks to have an out for their opponents' annoying, hard to kill monsters.
It is a Level 12 LIGHT Machine monster with 3000 ATK/DEF which requires two Level 12 monsters to summon, however, what makes it such an amazing card and staple in Decks is its effect.
You can also XYZ Summon Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS – Sky Thunder by using one other XYZ monster that battled once during the turn and any of its XYZ materials are transferred to Zeus too.
You can then detach two XYZ materials from Zeus to send all other cards on the field to the GY. This effect doesn’t target and doesn’t destroy the cards so it bypasses most cards protection effects and it is even a quick effect that can be used during either players’ turn.
It also has a third effect that allows you to attach one card as XYZ material to Zeus from your hand, deck or Extra Deck if a card(s) you control is destroyed by battle or card effect, allowing you to use its board wiping effect again if needed.
Although having a quarter century secret rarity already, Zeus is now given its first alternative artwork. Zeus is shown posing to the opposite side in this new art and has a much more active pose making it look like it is mid attack.
The background has changed from a more plain black space-like background to a purple and blue space background with energy surging off of Zeus, showing just how menacing this card can look.
This new alt art comes solely as a quarter century secret rare.
Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous (New Art) (Quarter Century Secret Rare)
Originally released in Darkwing Blast a few years ago, Blazing Cartesia is one of many cards designed to support ‘Fallen of Albaz’. Blazing Cartesia works extremely well in Branded/Despia decks and supports the Fusion Summoning strategy of the deck.
Blazing Cartesia is a powerful card that has been used in many top tier decks over the past few years. It has an effect that summons itself to the field and then a powerful effect that lets you Fusion Summon one of the Decks boss monsters to the field. It also has a third effect that lets you add it back to your hand from the GV if your Fusion Summoned boss monster gets destroyed.
Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous has been reprinted in Quarter Century Stampede with a brand new alternative art in the much sought after quarter century secret rare rarity for the first time. Sticking to the original colour scheme, this new art brings Blazing Cartesia front and centre, focusing more on her than the background as the previous art did. She is given a slightly different outfit and poses facing directly forward reaching out her hands as if calling to you.
This stunning new artwork along with the shine of the card draws you in and is available only as a quarter century secret rare in Quarter Century Stampede.
Final Thoughts
So, what cards are you chasing in Quarter Century Stampede? Remember, some of these most popular cards such as Dark Magician and Blue Eyes White Dragon from the nostalgia pool will be expensive if pulled regardless of the rarity so keep an eye out for them!
