Nick Smith

Having spent many hours playing games such as Risk, Hero Quest and Space Crusade as a young person, Nick came back to boardgames later in life. Like many others, games such as Ticket to Ride, Catan and Dominion were the gateways back into the hobby.

With a real heart to bring people together (and play more games) Nick started Skipton Board Gamers with a good friend back in 2016, hosting an inclusive group with monthly events up to 50 people. Nick has a real passion for community and has seen how board games provide a framework to interact and connect people from very diverse backgrounds and lifestyles. Nick also regularly leads events at the Airecon convention.

When not rolling dice Nick is a keen reader of graphic novels, fantasy / Sci Fi novels, enjoys gaming, writing, cycling and running. Married with 2 children, who have become Nicks aspirational, if not reluctant, gaming partners!
