Bretwalda: Vanished Kingdoms (Expansion)

Vanished Kingdoms is a modular expansion for Bretwalda introducing the Minor Kingdoms and new Season and Lordship cards. Four historical realms – Alt Clut, Cantware, Defnas, and Gwynedd – enter the game, each with its own home areas and Units: Ealdormen, Thegns, and Ceorls.

Minor Kingdoms are not permanently controlled. Instead, at the start of each Spring and Autumn, players take command of one, making it their Vassal. Vassal Units can fight, move, and even help complete Chronicles. The expansion also introduces a new Unit type – Hunters, who strike with ranged attacks before any other troops, capable of deciding a battle before swords clash.
