Carcass Crawler: The Official Old-School Essentials Zine #2

Description

Expand your Old-School Essentials games with the second issue of Carcass Crawler, the official OSE zine from Necrotic Gnome.

Packed into a compact 32-page volume, Issue #2 introduces new character options, rules, monsters, equipment and an adventure that can be dropped directly into an existing campaign.

Create characters using two new elf variants — the Phase Elf and Wood Elf — or experiment with an alternative item-based encumbrance system that tracks how much a character can carry without relying on detailed weight calculations.

The issue also expands everyday adventuring with rules for town services, hiring retainers and quickly generating starting equipment.

For groups looking to introduce stranger technology into their games, new rules cover futuristic energy weapons, while eight new snake-cult monsters provide additional threats for dungeon adventures.

The included mini-adventure, The Tomb of Aum-Pharath, sends adventurers into the trap-filled ruins of an ancient snake cult temple.
