Players create adventurers and head out across an enormous open sea filled with uncharted islands, hidden treasure, unusual weather and terrifying creatures.
Character creation is fast, random and classless, with advancement driven by what happens during the adventure rather than traditional character levels.
The game includes rules for open-ocean hexcrawling, naval combat, building and upgrading ships, hiring retainers, trading and even running a business. A collection of random tables helps Game Masters quickly generate encounters, locations and unexpected events during a voyage.
Five ready-to-run adventure sites are also included, giving groups plenty of material to begin exploring straight away.
Inspired by games including Mausritter, Into the Odd and Cairn, Lilliputian offers a streamlined old-school roleplaying experience where the world feels enormous and every voyage can lead somewhere unexpected.
