Description
Living Stories: Pulse is a narrative card game from Plotmaker Games set around a group of friends forming a band in the early 1990s. The story focuses on relationships, ambition, and the tension between creative authenticity and success.
Like other games in the Living Stories series, it’s built around short scenes shaped by player choices and card play. Each moment plays out as a small conflict, with outcomes influencing both the direction of the story and the characters’ development. The rules are relatively light, keeping the focus on how the narrative unfolds at the table rather than complex mechanics.
The game can be played as a quicker, more flexible experience by mixing scenes together, or as a more structured story told across a set sequence.
Overall, Pulse is best suited to players who enjoy character-driven games, with an emphasis on shared storytelling and the dynamics between characters rather than traditional win conditions.
