A prerelease event is a casual and fun way to experience the newest Magic: The Gathering set before its official release. It is played in the sealed format. Here's how it works:

  1. Build Your Deck: You'll receive a prerelease pack containing six booster packs, a promo card, and a spindown life counter. Use these to build a 40-card minimum deck. There are 10 possible archetypes to build from in Bloomburrow and it's best to pick one of them to build your deck around  You can read more about the archetypes from the official MTG website. 
  2. Play Matches: Participate in matches with other players, typically in a Swiss format, meaning you'll play several rounds regardless of your win-loss record.
  3. Enjoy the Community: Prerelease events are perfect for meeting fellow Magic players, trying out new strategies, and enjoying the game in a relaxed environment.
