Within the pages of this book, you'll discover a world of unforgiving horror, where power-draining necromancers, skulking skeletal warriors, and backstabbing wickheads lie in wait. Travel through the Valley of the Unfortunate Undead, explore the catacombs beneath the Bergen Chrypt, or brave the bedevilled Sarkash forest. But beware - the world's cruel fate is sealed, and no amount of heroic effort can change the inevitable end.

MÖRK BORG is replete with everything you need to get started, including a brief overview of the world itself. From The Two-Headed Basilisks’ gothic cathedral in Galgenbeck to Blood-countess Anthelia’s limestone palace, and the fields of death in Graven-Tosk to the barren wastes of Kergüs, the world is vividly rendered in all its bleak glory.

The Calendar of Nechrubel, which decides the speed of the world’s demise, is a constant reminder of the impending doom that awaits. However, the game also offers you the chance to wield 20 occult Powers, letting you bend reality to your will. But be warned, there are just as many magical catastrophes that can occur when you disastrously fail.

Optional rules bring even more depth to the game, including Omens that allow you to turn bad luck into slightly better luck, and unique character Classes with traits and quirks that will bring your character to life. The book also contains 12 terrifying creatures to be slain, as well as tables for generating loot, adventure sparks, and dungeon creation tools.

The introductory dungeon crawl scenario, Rotblack Sludge, is included, letting you investigate a forgotten part of the Shadow King's ruinous palace. In this harrowing adventure, you'll encounter cannibal warlocks, poison peddlers from beyond the void, and hungry gutworms, among other deadly foes.
