Description
Step into the fog-shrouded streets of Victorian London in Penny Dreadfuls, a cooperative narrative game of investigation, deduction and unsettling supernatural encounters.
Inspired by the sensational illustrated stories that became hugely popular during the nineteenth century, the game places players at the centre of a series of bizarre and frightening tales set against the backdrop of late-Victorian London.
Each Sensational Tale introduces a group of characters whose ordinary lives are suddenly disrupted by strange and disturbing events. Players work together to investigate what is happening, make difficult choices and overcome a series of challenges as the story unfolds.
Your decisions can lead to very different outcomes, ranging from complete failure to a satisfying resolution, with each adventure shaped by how the group interprets the clues and responds to the events around them.
With a strong focus on storytelling, atmosphere and shared decision-making, Penny Dreadfuls offers a narrative-driven experience for players who enjoy mysteries and dark Victorian horror.
